GP32 (2001)
An open-ish Korean handheld that became a homebrew and emulation favorite. It launched in South Korea on November 23, 2001.
Launched in South Korea on November 23, 2001 at 179,000 won. GP32 had a 32-bit ARM CPU and used SmartMedia cards, with a strong Korean homebrew scene. It was one of the first handhelds with an active open community. Game Park followed it with the GP2X.
